Eligibility Criteria

  • Provide fuel, oil, water and air
  • Provide restroom facilities
  • Provide drinking water
  • Provide telephone for emergencies
  • Continuous operation at least 12 hours per day, 7 days per week
  • Maximum distance of service: 3 miles
  • Possess licensing by all appropriate authorities
  • Continuous operation 10 hours per day, serves 2 meals per day, 6 days per week
  • Provide indoor seating for minimum of 20 or a minimum of 10 drive-up stations Provide restroom facilities
  • Provide telephone for emergencies
  • Maximum distance of service: 3 miles
  • Possess licensing by all appropriate authorities
  • Provide minimum 10 rooms with each room including restroom, shower/bath, and telephone
  • Provide sufficient off-street parking for all guests
  • Be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Maximum distance of service: 3 miless
  • Possess licensing by all appropriate authorities
  • Provide restroom facilities
  • Provide drinking water
  • Provide at least 20 camping and parking spaces
  • Be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a minimum of 6 consecutive months per year
  • Maximum distance of service: 15 miles
  • Must be categorized as a natural phenomenon, museum, historical site, cultural site, recreational site, educational site, area of natural beauty, or agritourism site
  • Must derive a major portion of income or motorist during the normal business season
  • Provide 10 parking accommodations
  • Provide public restroom facilities
  • Attendance in a 12 month period shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements established for the TODS program
